We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming environment while managing front desk operations efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of dental office procedures and excellent communication skills to provide exceptional patient care.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out process.
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar using electronic medical records systems such as Dentrix or Epic.
- Answer phone calls promptly, addressing patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and insurance information.
- Process patient payments and handle billing inquiries.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth office operations and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
- Keep the front desk area organized and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Stay updated on medical terminology and office protocols to enhance patient interactions.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist - at least 2 years
- Must have knowledge of TRACKER
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
- Proficiency in managing phone systems and handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- A friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal skills to create a positive experience for patients.
