The Opportunity
We’re looking to fill a HR Administrator position at RFA Bank of Canada!
Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources (HR), the HR Administrator will be primarily responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resource team, by assisting with key processes including recruitment, new hire onboarding, benefit administration, updating the HRIS, offboarding & reporting.
Core Responsibilities
As the HR Administrator, you will:Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct talent acquisition activities, including job posting creation, screening resumes, scheduling interviews on behalf of hiring manager, assessing candidates, and negotiating employment terms.
- Coordinate and process new hire paperwork.
- Participate in new hire onboarding by preparing orientation presentation.
- Maintain employee data in the HR database, Dayforce, including: the talent acquisition process, onboarding and offboarding procedures; changes in employment status; compensation and benefits administration; policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Provide admin support, by preparing employment verification letters, drafting HR communications and filing.
- Oversee probationary periods, liaising with managers and send reminders, as required.
- Advise and educate employees about HR policies and procedures.
- Prepare HR reports and presentations, as required.
- Provide reception back-up as necessary
- Deliver other projects, as assigned, in order to support the HR team by providing first-class HR service to the business.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business/Organization Development or related professional designation completed/in progress; or 1 year of HR work experience.
- Previous HR experience considered an asset.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office software, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
