Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team in a fast-paced dental office environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks effectively. This role requires proficiency in handling electronic medical records and familiarity with medical and dental terminology, ensuring smooth operations at the front desk.
Must be customer service centric, friendly and professional. We are looking for a head secretary position during clinical days to one day become an office manager. Must have at least 2 years dental experience.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
- Manage appointment scheduling and confirmations using AbelDent and Recall Max.
- Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Process patient payments and handle insurance verification efficiently.
- Assist dental staff with administrative tasks as needed to facilitate patient care.
- Keep the front desk area organized and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and office policies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist is mandatory.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems, particularly AbelDent, is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of dental and medical terminology related to dental practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Proficient in using phone systems and office equipment to manage daily operations.
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a busy environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in office administration or healthcare is a plus.

Pay: $17.77-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 26 – 36 per week
