A busy Dermatology practice seeks an experienced, talented, hardworking and
articulate individual. This position requires a well-organized individual with excellent
communication skills, one who can function independently as well as part of a team,
and a problem solver with insight and the ability to multitask. This candidate should
have the ability to make patients feel welcome and at ease, and must get along well
with other staff. This professional must display a courteous image in person and over the telephone. Must be computer literate and demonstrate superior communication, organizational and time management skills. Excellent customer service skills, a warm and welcoming demeanour, and strong interpersonal skills are required for this busy clinic.
Having experience with any Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system is an asset. The
job requires you learning this software program. Completion of office administration medical program at a recognized post secondary institution or instead a minimum of two years experience is required.
The job description includes:

Answering phones
Scheduling appointments and referrals
Registering patients and placing them in rooms
Preparing, cleaning and stocking of rooms
Sterilizing of equipment
Helping the doctor in the exam rooms
Processing the specimen to be sent to the lab
Dealing with patient inquiries via phone, email, and text
Faxing, photocopying and scanning documents
Receive and communicate messages for doctors and patients
Skincare and aesthetic sales
Payment processing
Ordering supplies and maintain inventory
Basic bookkeeping
Prepare OHIP billing and verification
General office organization

Our office has a high volume of patients, incoming phones calls, faxes and
appointments to be scheduled. You must be an organized person and thrive in a busy environment. As this office is dealing with immuno-suppressed patients at least 2-Dose vaccine certification is required.
