Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced medical office environment. This role requires strong organizational skills and familiarity with medical terminology, ensuring smooth operations at the front desk.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
- Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers.
- Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary.
- Maintain patient records accurately using ACCURO electronic health record systems
- Process patient information, including insurance verification and billing inquiries.
- Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming for patients.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and managing correspondence.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and communication.
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical office or dental office setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is essential to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
- Proficiency in using phone systems and administrative software is required.
- Experience with EMR software, in particular ACCURO would be an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
