Summary
Be a key member of the Solutions IT Support team which supports the warehouse management system portfolio consisting of internal products. Acquire comprehensive product knowledge from software providers and enhance in-house expertise to optimize the IT value chain. The role involves fostering positive and constructive relationships with both internal and external customers to achieve shared goals and objectives. Support the global organization with excellent product knowledge, implementation experience and IT insight. Particularly, it requires a strong focus on the 3 regional business solution teams and the corporate service and consulting function.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- The Jr. IT Specialist has in depth technical warehouse application knowhow. The key role is to support all aspects around the WMS application infrastructure. As per request the position supports the corporate warehouse applications.
- Coordination and management of all system administrative relevant IT aspects within support area for warehouse applications.
- Consulting with the requesting parties in all questions and technical aspects of warehouse application infrastructure and respective process definition.
- Daily professional support of implemented warehouse management systems in all technical aspects in DSV
- In this role, he/she is working in an environment with multiple partners, the IT infrastructure teams, the logistics teams, the regional IT warehouse project teams etc.
- The Jr. IT Specialist is single point of contact for the support aspects in a productive environment.
- Release changes, rollouts and hotfix are solely deployed by the Solutions IT Support Team. Control, audit and deployment organization (date, time, communication etc.) can be assigned to this position.
- Structural, organizational and technical tasks supporting an efficient and high-quality run of WMS are assigned to this position as key tasks.
- The Jr. IT Specialist is the technical contact for any technical problems with WMS and infrastructure for WMS.
- Any adhoc tasks as defined by management.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or above in IT, business administration, logistics or a similar discipline
- Minimum 2 - 3 years of work experience, ideally in an international environment with strong focus on warehousing system management
- Very good knowledge in SQL
General Operations Skills/Competencies:
- Good command, both verbal and written, English skills.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred with exposure in international working environment.
- Ability to create collaborative engagements and active listening.
- High priority for teamwork
- Strong interpersonal skills, building professional relationships internally and externally.
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task, plan, prioritize and manage time effectively to meet goals and achieve results.

Language and Computer Skills
- English is the principal language for this position, additional languages may be required in other locations.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a diverse multicultural environment.
- Knowledge of MS SQL and SharePoint; and
- Overall knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Any warehouse management System
Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasional travel may be required; national and International (approximately 15-20%)
- Requirement to regularly travel and support multiple buildings in local area
- Regular working hours apply for this position, at times, working beyond these hours may be required by business needs.
