Annual salary: $ 107,000.00 - 135,300.00
What you'll do
The successful candidate will:
- Provide the monthly and quarterly financial reporting for BC Hydro’s Cost of Energy, including regulatory account reporting
and monthly forecasting.
- Lead a team of two financial analysts responsible for the monthly reporting and forecasting for the Heritage, Non-Heritage,
and Market Energy components of Cost of Energy, including managing their performance and development.
- Prepare and present reports for management.
- Work with external auditors and provide support, analysis, etc. for the quarterly external audit.
- Provide ongoing strategic business advice and financial support on key initiatives. Act as subject matter expert providing
guidance on various accounting issues and regulatory matters.
- Coordinate and develop the Cost of Energy budget for the Annual Service Plan, provide information and support for
regulatory hearings, including Revenue Requirements Applications and related Information Requests.
- Respond to queries from senior management and external stakeholders (government and regulatory bodies).
- Develop working relationships with various internal business groups to ensure a high degree of coordination and
alignment in preparing the Cost of Energy forecasts.
What you bring
The successful candidate will have:
- Professional Accounting designation (CPA).
- A minimum of 9 years experience in progressively more financial management capacity with specific experience in
reporting and forecasting.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving skills.
- Excellent planning skills with proven experience in meeting deadlines while managing multiple priorities and competing
demands.
- An inquisitive nature that drives thorough investigation of variances and an ability to make complex financial data
understandable in a relatable way.
