Position Summary: The Sales Support Analyst provides critical support to the sales team, focusing on data preparation, POS reporting, and operational tasks to ensure smooth account management. This role is instrumental in maintaining accurate order management, addressing operational issues, and supporting new item setup and maintenance. The Sales Support Analyst plays a vital role in driving efficiency and supporting decision-making across accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
1. POS Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate weekly and monthly POS reports for all accounts, ensuring data accuracy and timeliness.
- Identify trends or anomalies in sales data and flag issues to the Senior Sales Analyst and Sales Team.
2. Order Management:
- Monitor purchase orders (POs) for accuracy, process POs, and ensure timely communication with retailers.
- Identify and resolve order issues, including shortages, shipping delays, and cancellations.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to address order discrepancies and maintain service levels.
3. System and Item Maintenance:
- Manage new item setup and maintenance in retailer systems (Home Depot and Lowe’s portals).
- Ensure accurate product data, pricing, and promotional details in retailer systems.
- Monitor and update item statuses, ensuring data integrity across all platforms.
4. Ad Hoc Analysis:
- Provide data analysis and insights to support sales presentations, promotional planning, and operational decision-making.
- Assist with preparing reports and summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
5. Administrative Support:
- Prepare materials for sales meetings, including data summaries, presentations, and agendas.
- Handle routine administrative tasks to support the Senior Sales Analyst and Director.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work with supply chain, operations, and finance teams to ensure order accuracy and resolve account issues.
- Collaborate with the Senior Sales Analyst to ensure alignment on data preparation and reporting needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute.
- 1-3 years of experience in sales support, analytics, or a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and other analytical tools; experience with retailer systems is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communicator, able to collaborate across teams and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
