Job Title: Senior Associate to Assurance Manager
Location: Richmond, BC (in office with flexibility)
Salary: $90,000 to $120,000 depending on experience

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our Richmond based CPA firm as a Senior Associate or Assurance Manager. Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage review engagements, ensuring compliance with ASPE (Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises).
• Oversee and perform compilation engagements, providing accurate and timely financial reporting for clients.
• Conduct and supervise bookkeeping assignments, including reconciliations and maintaining general ledgers.
• Prepare and review corporate tax returns (T2) and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Assist clients with GST/PST/HST filings and related queries.
• Provide support on tax planning strategies for owner-managed businesses.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Provide guidance to clients on financial reporting, accounting policies, and tax matters.
• Identify opportunities for additional services and contribute to business development.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and constructive feedback.
• Review work completed by team members to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory bodies
Requirements:
• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, with a CPA designation or pursuing CPA designation.
• A minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in an assurance/tax-related role with an accounting public practice firm in Canada.
• Strong knowledge of auditing principles and procedures, as well as risk assessment and compliance techniques.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Strong computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and familiarity with accounting and financial software such as QuickBooks, CaseWare, and Taxprep.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks or projects efficiently while maintaining high levels of accuracy and quality.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a dynamic team.
