WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate for our Canadian Client Relationships team. The Associate, Client Servicing is a key member of the team, supporting the client-facing relationship managers to deliver best in class service to SLC’s institutional clients in Canada, ensuring their needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
The successful candidate should demonstrate a passion for providing exceptional customer service, have strong communication skills and be able to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment to ensure seamless and timely service delivery and high client satisfaction.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Provide accurate and timely information to clients regarding their investments, including the support and production of monthly and quarterly client reports
- Support the relationship managers in responding to client inquiries efficiently with a high attention to details
- Manage internal requests, such as management reporting, audit requests and providing information required by partner functions such as Tax, Compliance and Fund Accounting
- Help resolve client issues and concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Help process client requests, including account changes and service requests
- Support the process of on-boarding new clients with internal partners and clients
- Develop a deep understanding of our investment products and the financial markets in the context of a global asset manager
- Work cross-functionally with various teams such as Client Solutions, Global Reporting, Investments, Client Experience, Fund Accounting and other client servicing teams to innovate and improve processes
- Continually seek ways to improve the client experience
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Strong analytical skills combined with attention to detail in deliverables
- Positive attitude, professional presence and ability to develop strong relationships with stakeholders both inside & outside SLC
- Strong ability to communicate internally and externally
- Highly motivated with a demonstrated passion for delivering excellent client service
- Superior project management skills with ability to effectively manage and coordinate multiple projects and tasks under strict deadlines
- Innovative and continuous improvement mindset
- Team player
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3+ year of client service and/or investment experience
- Fluent in French and English
- Working knowledge of the asset management industry and investment markets
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
- Proficiency in Salesforce or other CRM platforms to manage and track client interactions effectively is a plus
- Progress towards the CFA charter preferred but not required
- Previous experience in asset management preferred but not required
- Open to travel to Toronto, Montreal and Waterloo

The Base Pay range is for the primary location of the job. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
