Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated 2nd to 3rd Year Apprentice Electricians to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical field while working under the guidance of experienced electricians. The Apprentice Electrician will assist in various electrical tasks, including installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial settings.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation of electrical systems and components according to blueprints and schematics.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform electrical work.
- Support experienced electricians in troubleshooting electrical issues and performing repairs.
- Learn to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Participate in low voltage wiring installations for various applications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored properly.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment at all times.
- Build a foundational knowledge of electrical systems, components, and industry best practices.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Must be able to be registered as an apprentice through SkilledTrades BC
- Electrical field experience is required
- Commercial/residential construction experience an asset
- Basic hand tools and cordless power tools
- Basic understanding of electrical concepts and terminology is beneficial.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and their safe operation is essential.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics is a plus.
- Strong willingness to learn from experienced professionals in the field.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Must be physically capable of performing tasks that require lifting, standing, and climbing as needed.

Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
