Position Summary: We are currently looking for a Maintenance Planner & Purchaser to join our team on an
18-month contract, to cover a maternity leave.
This position will provide on-site support and be responsible for providing technical planning, scheduling and cost control assistance to maintenance, production, and various groups.
Hiring Requirements: Maintenance
- Develop logical work sequences and resource allocations, update preventive and predictive maintenance programs and maintain records in computerized maintenance management system (Somax). #LI-Onsite #LI-RM1
- Identify and resolve problems, recommending improvements in the planning process and ensure routine schedules.
- Provide technical planning, scheduling for short- and long-range weekend activity and assist groups to ensure optimal maintenance effectiveness.
- Prepare diagrams, reports and networks reflecting planned work, sequences of events, timelines, and resources constraints.
- Manage work order requests (planning & prioritization).
- Somax transactions – creating, processing notifications/work orders and all PM related transactions, including process/coding, and tracking of all indirect purchases (Ocloud).
- Spare parts inventory compliance, cycle counts, as well as storeroom management making sure parts are available.
- Responsible to track department spends as part of budget process requirement.
- Participate in process improvement team: plant initiated, CAPEX projects, Gantt charting, future state.
- Interact with contractors and vendors.
- Other duties as described by your manager.
Compliance / Reporting
- Track and report on maintenance performance metrics and key indicators for lean meetings.
- Monitor progress of schedules and work programs.
- Prepare and maintain all records for regulatory compliance: Health & safety, Quality, and Food Safety.
- Perform work in a safe and healthy manner.
- Participation in ongoing H&S training, QA audits etc.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining product integrity, practicing highest levels of GMP’s and conforming to HACCP pre-requisite program and all associated SOP’s.
- Follow Job Responsibilities as per BRC and other regulatory bodies.
- Generate and track all accruals for Finance related to maintenance functions. #LI
Experience & Education
- 3-5 years of maintenance experience.
- Strong leadership skills in a skilled trade’s environment.
- Proven project management skills.
- Proficient computer skills including MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook), exposure to Oracle and Somax systems is an asset.
- Superior communication skills in a multi-cultural environment.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Highest regard for your safety and the safety of others.
- Knowledge of 5S programs.
