Albatrans Canada is looking for an enthusiastic professional to join our Operations team, in either our Toronto, ON or St-Bruno-de-Montarville, QC office, in the role of Junior Import/Export Coordinator. Working alongside the Operations team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end process for the smooth flow of goods – receiving orders, coordinating shipments, completing documentation, invoicing, and billing customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Partner with customers, vendors, and internal groups to build a solid working relationship
- Work with worldwide ocean shipments, including all geographies and multiple customers across the world
- Provide professional, prompt and efficient customer service to all clients
- Ensure files are completed and updated in accordance with corporate requirements
- Work diligently to ensure quotation deadlines and shipment requirements are met
- Monitor shipments and respond to inquiries from clients, in a timely manner
- Resolve client customer service issues promptly and professionally
- Support and manage ongoing vendor and partner relationships
- Provide the proper documentation that is required for the alcoholic beverage industry
- Partner with global offices as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred candidates will have:
- 1-2 years’ experience working at an international freight forwarding company or a diploma in International Transportation & Logistics, Supply Chain & Operations Management, Global Business Management, or similar programs
- CIFFA Certificate an asset
- Customer service mindset and ability to manage all stages of the shipping process
- Excellent English language communication skills (both oral and written)
- Preference for working in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment
- Proficiency in French an asset
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
