IAMGOLD is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Accounts Payable Clerk, supporting the corporate office as well as smaller subsidiaries. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts payable tasks, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices and expense reports, and generating related reports. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure that invoices are correctly posted in Oracle, employee expense reports are reviewed in compliance with company policies, and that all approvals are made in accordance with the monetary authority policy. Your role will also involve resolving inquiries and addressing any supplier or employee concerns in a professional manner. You will handle supplier creation requests, ensure invoice batches are reviewed and approved, and make necessary corrections or adjustments. Additionally, you may be asked to contribute to special projects as needed.
Qualifications
What You Need to Succeed
The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary education in Accounting or a related field and at least five years of directly relevant experience in a computerized accounts payable function. Knowledge of Oracle is considered an asset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and other Office software, as well as excellent communication skills are required. Bilingualism in English and French is a plus. Maintaining strict confidentiality and collaborating effectively in a team environment are essential expectations for this role. Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting are key attributes for success in this role.
