The Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has gained practical experience through internships or co-op programs and is eager to launch their career as a Business Analyst in project management consulting. As an Entry-Level Business Analyst, you will work closely with senior consultants, project teams, and clients to analyze business needs, support project execution, and provide actionable insights to drive successful outcomes. You will gain valuable hands-on experience across a variety of projects while enhancing your analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate has a curious mind and enjoys analyzing challenging problems, identifying patterns, and recommending solutions. They must have exceptional communication and people skills, be highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement. This is a full-time in-office, non-remote position based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Key Responsibilities: Requirements Analysis – Collaborate with clients and project teams to gather, document, and analyze business requirements. Translate these requirements into actionable insights and specifications to support the design and implementation of solutions. Business Process Mapping – Partner with stakeholders to identify and map current business processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose optimized workflows or systems. Data Analysis and Reporting – Conduct data analysis to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement. Develop clear reports, dashboards, and visualizations to present findings and support decision-making. Stakeholder Communication – Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure clear understanding and alignment of project objectives and deliverables. Create concise documentation, timelines, and visual aids to communicate progress and expectations effectively. Training and Change Management – Support clients in adopting new systems and processes by delivering end-user training sessions and facilitating workshops. Provide guidance on change management strategies to ensure successful transitions. Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work closely with internal and external teams to align business and technical requirements. Proactively identify potential risks or disruptions and recommend mitigation strategies. Duties include: Collaborate with clients and project teams to plan, develop, and manage project deliverables, ensuring alignment with client requirements and objectives. Document business and technical requirements, ensuring clarity and feasibility for implementation teams. Analyze business processes and recommend changes or enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Support data-driven decision-making by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data. Deliver training and support to end-users on project deliverables, facilitating the smooth adoption of solutions. Prepare, review, and edit communications and documentation to ensure professionalism and clarity. Participate in client meetings, providing updates on project progress, risks, and deliverables. Monitor and report on project status, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards. Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. Contribute to the development of business solutions tailored to client needs. Support internal initiatives and projects as needed. This is a summary. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) or project management tools (e.g., MS Project) is a plus. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create reports and deliver presentations. Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills with a desire to grow in the field of business analysis. Experience in a client-facing environment; consulting experience is an asset. Ability to identify problems, think critically, and develop creative solutions. Willingness to travel and flexibility to work outside regular business hours as required. Must be based in Toronto, Ontario, or willing to relocate. Legally eligible to work in Canada.
