As an Administrative Assistant/Receptionist, National Office your responsibilities will include:
Administrative:
- Support for specific members of National Management Committee, including but not limited to expense and time entry, travel arrangements and calendar management
- Preparing and editing reports, and other administrative support for colleagues within National Office (strong proofing and formatting skills are essential)
- Supporting correspondence on behalf of National Management Committee and National Office Leaders as needed
- Coordinate external/internal appointments, meetings, room bookings, and meals/catering including set up and take down of meeting rooms
- Participate with National Projects and initiatives within the National Office, by working closely with other National Office teams
- Support and coverage for other National Administrative colleagues, as needed
Reception and Office Services:
- Phone coverage, welcoming visitors to the National Office, managing couriers, and mail distribution
- Office service duties as needed, including upkeep of lunchroom (dishwashers) and serveries, stocked and organized throughout the day
- Support special events within the National Office
- Maintain the desk booking software for National Office and update the seating floor plan as needed
- General office responsibilities including access cards, supply orders, invoice processing, and other duties as required

- Excited about the opportunity to work in-office 5 days a week, connecting with colleagues in person
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in an administrative capacity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint
- Contributing to Brand development and overall professional image of Doane Grant Thornton, exuding professional demeanour and etiquette in interactions with colleagues and visitors
- Be proactive and take initiative; you enjoy learning new things and taking on new tasks
- Works well independently and within a team environment, displays a “we before me” attitude in every interaction
- Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities, with the ability to prioritize to effectively manage time and respond to competing priorities
- Able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Occasional overtime may be required
