Hours of Work: Full time (Mon-Fri) 9am-5pm
Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Patient registration
- Validation of OHIP health cards
- Answering phone calls
- Screening patients over the phone
- Scheduling of patient appointments & consult requests
- Document Processing: Filing, Scanning and assigning patient results, Faxing, Sorting and distributing mail
- Managing patient flow within the clinic
- Follow up on consultation appointments for patient
- Stocking and cleaning exam rooms and patient reception areas, and meeting/group rooms
- Maintaining Patient Confidentiality
- Assisting patients & physicians with completing forms and documentation
Qualifications/Skills
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent as recognized by the Province of Ontario Ministry of Education
- Medical Office Assistant certificate/Medical Office Administration diploma or 1-2 years recent receptionist experience in a health care environment
- Administrative experience in a health care setting preferred.
- Experience with EMR systems (PS Suites ) and an excellent level of computer proficiency
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Punctuality
- English first language
Salary: ($16-$20/hour)

- Flexibility with schedule to cover vacation time for other administrators
- Some weekends required from time to time
