Job Overview
The Project Coordinator will support the Major Project Labour Agreements team in overseeing the Community Benefit Agreement and Project Labour Agreements for major infrastructure projects. The coordinator ensures compliance with reporting timelines, compiles data, and identifies trends to provide accurate and timely project updates, by tracking project activities, assessing submissions, and identifying potential issues related to scope, schedule, risks, and changes.

Key Accountabilities
- Supports the tracking of project and team activities, monitors project parameters and reports out on scope, schedule, and risk changes to the MPLA team.
- Receives and reviews project information, submissions, and correspondence to monitor, assess, and review for issues and concerns.
- Responsible for the monitoring of compliance with reporting timelines and compiling data and identifying trends.
- Monitors schedules and deadlines related to deliverables and initiatives, and assists in the coordination of reviews and approvals to ensure completion aligns with requirements.
- Maintains a tracking system to ensure all team initiatives, deliverables, communications, reporting, and submissions are documented and progressed.
- Prepares and assists in the drafting and finalization of a variety of documents (e.g., agendas, meetings minutes, action items, notifications, correspondence, project plan documents, summaries, etc.)
- Supports the team through the use of desktop applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook. Ensures proper document management compliance within the MPLA team.
- Schedules, facilitates, and attends regular meetings to track and report on project activities.
Qualifications
- Post secondary education in business administration, project management, communications, or contract management and related experience in project management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Detail-oriented and able to handle the demands of a fast-paced project with deadline pressures.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Comfort with and ability to hold others accountable, even those not in a formal reporting relationship.
- Experience and proficiency working with the MS Office Suite (i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), MS Teams, and SharePoint.
- Ability to facilitate a collaborative team culture.
- Experience in labour relations management would be an asset.
- Preference may be given to applicants with experience on major infrastructure projects.
