Consider this exciting opportunity as a Senior Project Management Consultant to plan, lead, and provide project management expertise to transformation-related projects of varying scale for the ministry's business-focused Project Management Office Branch. Working with ministry business clients and partners, you will provide expert advice, oversight and hands-on support on a variety of transformation-related projects that impact the citizens of Ontario.

You will:
- Deliver project management leadership and transformation oversight expertise on complex, cross-ministry, multi-stakeholder projects
- Provide hands-on facilitation and project management support on key health care transformation projects
- Communicate with project teams to obtain project status updates and interacting with a wide variety of people, while making strategic connections across project deliverables
- Synthesize large amounts of project information into clear and concise executive briefing products and deliver project updates to project executives
- Provide leadership to project teams, external service providers, and contractors through all phases of projects from development through to implementation and completion of projects
- You have extensive knowledge of and experience with transformation-related project planning and management techniques, tools, current software, best practices, and project life cycle methodologies.
- You have thorough knowledge of the project management lifecycle, documentation and development, including business cases, project charters, integrated project plan (project schedules), and close out reports.
- You have experience with risk assessment and risk management skills.
- You have consulting skills to provide advice, gain collaboration, facilitate project discussions and make effective recommendations.
- You have leadership skills to lead multiple, large scale, complex, multi-stakeholder projects while managing conflicting deadlines.
- You can prepare and effectively deliver various visual and written materials to support senior level decision-making.
- You have relationship-building skills to provide leadership on projects and work teams to identify and achieve milestones.
- You can liaise and collaborate with a broad range of diverse internal/external contacts and lead stakeholder consultation processes.
- You have advisory and collaborative skills to develop and maintain working relationships, promote effective use of project management tools and promote project management capacity.
- You have knowledge of adult education techniques and best practices.
- You have the ability to conduct ongoing research and evaluation of best practices, emerging trends and developments in the field of project management and transformation oversight
- You have the ability to conduct research and analysis to support senior-level decisions around strategic alignment and prioritization of ministry-wide transformation projects
- You demonstrate the ability to take action on innovative ideas, seek out new ideas, and adapt methodology and ideas quickly
- You have knowledge of the health care system and the ability to acquire knowledge of the objectives, mandate, legislation and health care delivery.
- You have ability to gain, understand, interpret and apply knowledge of legislation, policies, public administration principles and practices.
- You have working knowledge of project management technologies (i.e. MS Project, on-line collaboration and document management tools, and automated tools/software) and are proficient with common software applications (e.g., MS Office, Internet, Intranet).
