Human Resources Administrative Assistant (Full-Time)

Job Summary & Impact:
Reporting to the Human Resources management team, the HR Administrative Assistant will be working with BambooHR to monitor performance and track development. This is an administrative heavy role requiring accuracy and an eye for detail, but a rewarding one as it has a great impact on company culture. Like all Para Space career opportunities, there is room to grow in this position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and track daily personnel reports and ensure a smooth onboarding process of new employees within their first 3 months
- Update skills tracker daily
- Promote education and in-house education through proactive communication directly with our team
- Seminar organization and preparation
- Monitoring attendance to assist payroll completion (tracking lates and absentees)
- Orientation administration
- Assisting with onboarding and offboarding administration
- Set up and assisting with seasonal workshops
- Representing the company at job fairs by engaging the public and promoting the company brand and careers in a positive outgoing manner
- Attend, organize and assist in coordinating company events which is a huge part of the Para Space culture and retention
- Weekly MMM attendance
- Vacation preparation and organization
- Compile performance letters (start, 3 months, 6 months, semi-annual, annual)
- Create 360 reviews for leadership team to ensure feedback is provided for improvement
- You may be involved with other miscellaneous tasks/projects as required
General:
- Work cooperatively to foster a harmonious working relationship with all co-workers
- You would be responsible for completing reports and other paperwork as associated with these projects and as assigned
- You would be required to complete weekly task lists and schedules and would have weekly meetings with your manager
- You would be required to report to management with an EDR (end-of-day report) outlining all the tasks and hours spent for the day
- You are encouraged to participate in at hoc managerial committees whose purpose is to advance our company
Training and Education:
- Post Secondary and work experience is an asset
- Previous customer service and administrative experience required
- Proficient with MS Office software (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, AI, Microsoft Teams)
- Experience with an HRIS (BambooHR) an asset

- Valid Class 5 or 7 BC Driver’s License

Compensation, Work Environment & Perks:
- The wage for this role starts at $24+ per hour, depending on experience
- Full-Time Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm (evenings and weekends as required to attend company events and fulfill recruitment needs)
- Office space at the head office but expected to work in field to see staff on occasion

Please note that this position will require you to work in the field on crew periodically throughout the year to gain experience and a full understanding of what the landscaping role entails.
