Waterfront Park Veterinary Clinic is seeking dedicated Veterinary Assistants / Receptionists to join our team. Established in January 2020 we are a fast-growing veterinary clinic that thrives off providing the best care possible for our clients.
This is the perfect position who loves interacting with people, is detail-oriented, focuses on administration jobs with a warm heart toward the pet's health care.
Veterinary experience is preferred but not required for the right candidates and we're happy to train to grow together. As a fear free practice, the certification of Fear-Free is an asset.

- Greet clients and their pets with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the front desk
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and medical histories
- Handle payments, invoices, and insurance claims
- Keep the reception area clean and organized
- You will be expected to answer a multi-phone phone line and assist clients with questions
in a professional manner.
- Assist veterinarians and technicians with various tasks as needed
- Sterilizing equipment and regularly cleaning examination areas.
- Handling and soothing animals during examinations, treatments, and vaccinations.
- Recording relevant information about animals, including weight and types of medication given.
- Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role is needed.
- Previous experience working in animal care is preferred.
- Strong teamwork skill and compassion to animal cares.
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures is a plus but will be trained.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and experience with office software
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

*Training plan
First 4 weeks :
The candidates will work mostly at the treatment room for the first 2 weeks and reception area for the next 2 weeks.
We'll train the basic veterinary cares like from sterilizing equipment, cleaning examination areas and see the clinic's flow to understand the clinic. It also includes some office administration jobs like follow up calls and handling payments, invoices, and insurance claims.
Second 4 weeks :
Depending on the candidate's experience level, we'll review the performance for the 1 st month and customize the training plan from here. This position includes 60 % front customer service position and 40 % of veterinary assistant care.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
