Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced journeymen/women to join our team. The journeymen/women will be responsible for overseeing apprentices and coordinating with the electrical foreman, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of electrical systems, and the ability to effectively communicate with team members and clients.
Duties:
- Coordinate electrical projects from start to finish
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
- Collaborate with electrical foreman to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality control standards
- Coordinate with subcontractors and other trades to ensure smooth project execution
- Conduct regular inspections to identify any issues or potential risks
- Provide guidance and training to electrical apprentices
- Utilize construction management software (e.g., ProCore & BlueBeam) for project documentation and communication
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Red Seal Electrician
- Hold a valid drivers license
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations
- Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
- Leadership skills with the ability to supervise a team effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00-$38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
