The Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented developer to join our growing data analytics team. This entry-level role offers the chance to support team members in various tasks and gain valuable experience in the field of data analytics, visualization, machine learning and the application of these technologies to support modernization of the electrical grid. This is a hands-on entry-level role ideally suited to a highly curious and self-motivated individual. In this role you'll gain valuable experience working in a team to develop and deliver commercial products in a large scale industrial environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support senior developers and analysts with research, data collection and preparation, along with the creation of analytics and visualizations.
- Learn and apply data visualization techniques using Tableau to create impactful reports and dashboards.
- Gain exposure to MLOps by assisting with machine learning model deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Ensure product quality through rigorous data accuracy and feature quality checks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team with minimal supervision.
- Experience with business analytics tools such as Tableau.
- Experience with Python, SQL, and Linux.
- Strong programming skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- Understanding of MLOps practices.
- Previous data analytics internship or project experience.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, or Oracle databases.
- Exposure to Data Science and technologies such as NumPy, Pandas, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Plotly.
- Knowledge of the Electrical Distribution system and concepts employed in Electrical Power Measurement.
