Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional who ensures accuracy in financial records, compliance with regulations, and efficiency in financial operations. Working closely with the Manager of Finance and Operations, you will play a critical role in managing day-to-day financial tasks and supporting broader strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Manage accounts receivable
- Assist with payroll processing
- Assist with accounts payable
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and yearly reconciliation processes
Reporting & Compliance:
- Generate monthly financial reports, including profit and loss reports, and balance sheet
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Assist with year-end preparations, audits, and other compliance-related tasks.
Training & Support:
- Support Fundraising, Therapies and Education staff in understanding financial processes and reports.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a nonprofit sector
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is required
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
