Report to: Shift Supervisor and Production Manager
Role Summary: The role is primarily responsible for preparing and mixing batches as per production schedule, facilitating and coordinating all areas to meet production goals on a daily basis, and ensuring that product being produced conforms to the customer’s requirements. This is a full-time role.
Responsibilities:
- Load chocolates into melter tanks and load fillings into appropriate tanks/portable tanks as required.
- Make recipe based on the recipe/batching sheet provided by the Manufacturing Manager
- Perform changeovers on chocolate depositors, pump disassembly/reassembly and other related equipment to material handling.
- Handling raw material leftovers and rework during and at the end of the production run.
- Ensure efficient and accurate scaling of the required ingredients.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all batches made and other related documentation (inventory, scrap etc.)
- Coordinate with Manufacturing Manager to ensure that production run is running smoothly and without delays.
- Ensure a clean, safe and organized working environment. Following 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
- Ensure equipment is clean and sanitary before use by inspecting equipment prior start up and reporting QA any visual build ups.
- Handle plant equipment and tools with care and respect and report any damage to QA immediately.
- Ensure to follow food safety requirements (GMPs and HACCP)
- Follow FIFO and rotate raw material to ensure shelf life.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have good communication skills in English – written and verbal.
- Attention to detail and strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
- Strong sense of teamwork with an aim to achieve and exceed production standards.
- Must be punctual, proactive, and possess excellent work ethics
- Ability to work shifting schedules (day/evening/night), weekends, and holidays
- Be a team player and able to willingly share knowledge and experience with others
- Operate forklift with valid Certificate an asset
- Work independently in a safe and conscientious manner, abiding to standard operating procedure
Working Conditions:
· Turning at the waist
· Able to work on foot for long periods of time and performing repetitive work.
· Occasionally climbing ladders
· Wear protective clothing, such as coats, hair nets and safety shoes.
· Exposure to machinery sounds and loud noise levels.
· Ability to push, pull, bend and lift product on a regular basis (typically up to 50lbs)

Pay: $23.08-$28.66 per hour
