WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Assistant Coordinator, Sobeys Stadium

As a member of the Sobeys Stadium department, the Assistant Coordinator, Sobeys Stadium is responsible for assisting with the coordination and execution of the day-to-day operations and events at Sobeys Stadium. This position will report directly to the Events Manager, Sobeys Stadium.

Assist with the planning and execution of site operations for the National Bank Open, York University convocation and other ancillary events (site plans, furnishings, décor, plants and landscaping, audio visual)
Assist with the delivery of signage and the operations of Signshop for the National Bank Open
Aid in the identification, delivery and evaluation of sustainability initiatives and supporting the sustainability committee
Support stadium concert events in delivery of operation positions such as guest services, coat/bag check and ushering
Assist with inventory and distribution of facility assets
Manage uniform inventory for operations teams
Support the onboarding of operations staff (security, janitorial and other)
Provide office assistance by ordering supplies, answering calls, preparing meeting spaces, receiving and distributing mail/packages and issuing parking passes
Support the preparation of invoices through coding, tracking and filing

WHO YOU ARE?

Diploma or degree in sport management or related field or equivalent years of work experience
Proficiency in a variety of computer software applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
Confident and effective communication skills: interpersonal, written and verbal
Demonstratives initiative, willingness to listen and has an openness to feedback
Team oriented and ability to collaborate across many internal departments
Experience in customer service is an asset
