The Role
This Marketing Coordinator role will be a permanent, full-time position supporting our growing Western Canadian business units. The role will sit in our Vancouver office and will primarily support the South Coastal BC and Vancouver Island business units.
Role Purpose
This position drives and supports the objectives of the western Canadian business units and firm by executing on marketing plans and campaigns that align with firm goals, under the guidance of the Regional Marketing Managers. This position reports to the Regional Marketing Manager.
As a Regional Marketing & Communications Coordinator your responsibilities will include:
- Execute multi-channel marketing campaigns aligned to firm objectives and marketing plans. This includes ideation, planning, development of a workback schedule, communication with and buy-in from key stakeholders, content curation, tactical execution, internal and external communications, tracking and reporting on KPIs
- Play a lead role in supporting the South Coastal BC and Vancouver Island business units along with support for other west business units as needed
- Work with marketing professionals in our design, external and internal communications, digital marketing and marketing operations teams to deliver marketing projects and campaigns
- Actively participate in working groups to deliver national and regional campaigns
- Build trust and rapport within the greater marketing team. Provide feedback to others in a positive and constructive manner
- Be a champion in the use of the firm’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, Content Management System (CMS), Project Management System (PMS) and other marketing enablement technology to manage campaigns and track ROI
- Plan and execute marketing events including booking logistics, writing invitation copy, registration management, on-site coordination and post-event follow-up
- Act as a brand ambassador. Collaborate with national marketing & communications team, regional marketing managers to ensure brand integrity and consistency across all external and internal marketing activities including advertising, presentations, sponsorship, social media, communications, and event materials
- Remain knowledgeable of firm marketing strategy, programs and campaigns to leverage in your projects and campaigns
- Demonstrate an understanding of the firm’s services and markets by proactively bringing forward creative ideas that elevate our marketing campaigns and drive engagement with our brand
- Perform other duties as required under the guidance of the regional marketing managers. This may on occasion include but is not limited to events, digital marketing, advertising, social media, email communications, and setting/reporting on KPIs
- Some travel may be required (when appropriate)

- University degree in Marketing, Communications or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing communications, in a B2B environment, preferably professional services
- You are highly organized with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and perform in a fast-moving and deadline-oriented environment to deliver a quality product
- You are a creative and critical thinker who is passionate about marketing and growing the business
- You consistently bring forward solutions when requesting guidance
- You are inquisitive about existing plans, ideas and notions; you seek to understand why and ask questions to uncover the need, issue or opportunity
- You have exceptional and effective written and verbal communication skills, and apply tact and discretion when communicating with others
- You are results driven and willing to learn and to seek continuous improvement in quality and efficiency in everything you do; learn from mistakes and apply best practices to tasks
- You are self-motivated and have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- You have strong project and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail/accuracy
- You have an ability to interact effectively and build rapport with a wide range of professionals
- You continually develop marketing acumen and skills, and apply your marketing acumen, best practices and market knowledge to decisions and actions
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of tools, with an emphasis on Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics or other CRMs and marketing enablement tools is considered an asset
- You have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for occasional travel (when appropriate)

At Doane Grant Thornton, we’re committed to ensuring our compensation practices are fair, equitable and competitive. To get the conversation started, we’re happy to share that our current base salary for this role ranges from $53,000-72,000.
