Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled 3rd , 4th or 5th year Apprentice Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems while adhering to all safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
- Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
- Perform general electrical maintenance.
- Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
- Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
- Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
- Circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
- Good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems.
- Good knowledge of various test equipment.
Requirements:
- Working on an electrical apprenticeship.
- Experience working as an electrician.
- Working on Electrician degree from a technical college.
- Deep electrical system, power generation, blueprints, and maintenance and repair knowledge.
- Experience in residential, commercial, and/or industrial electrical systems.
- Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, voltmeter, etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.
- Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.
- Must be willing to travel within Canada.
Qualifications:
- Nearing completion of a four to five year apprenticeship program.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong leadership and project management abilities.
- Proficient in estimating costs and time of electrical repairs and installations.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and the Canadian Electrical Code (ECE).
- Proficiency in using power tools.
