ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Café Attendant, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our customers and members, assisting with the preparation and presentation of our delicious chocolate creations, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. You have a for passion for food and beverage, strong interpersonal skills, and a desire to create memorable experiences for our guests.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and welcome members and their guests in a friendly and attentive manner.
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring that all preferences and special requests are accommodated.
- Prepare and assemble a variety of food and beverage items.
- Follow recipes and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and quality in food and beverage presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in food preparation areas.
- Stay informed about current promotions, seasonal offerings, and special events to effectively communicate with customers and members.
- Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
- Monitor and restock supplies as needed, including napkins, utensils, and condiments, to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment, locking up valuables, and securing the premises.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or retail, preferably in a café, bakery, or similar environment.
- Experience using a point-of-sale system to enter orders.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in handling cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and collaborate with team members.
- Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
