Description

Our client, a public sector organization in North Vancouver is hiring for an Accounting Clerk.
The ideal candidate will be someone who is eager to learn and will support the Accounting & Finance team,
Primary Responsibilities:
Data Entry: Posting journal entries, recording daily transactions, and updating financial records in accounting software.
Account Reconciliation: Matching bank statements to general ledger entries to ensure accuracy.
Accounts Payable/Receivable Management: Processing invoices, issuing payments to vendors, and managing customer invoices.
Financial Reporting: Preparing and submitting periodic financial statements like income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Month-End/Year-End Closing: Assisting with the closing process including preparing necessary adjustments and reconciling accounts.
Compliance Reporting: Supporting the preparation of compliance reports as needed
Auditing Support: Providing documentation and assistance during internal or external audits
Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP)
Proficiency in accounting software, proficient with MS Dynamics GP of Dynamics 365
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Numerical fluency and analytical skills
Good communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
