Job Overview: Sales Associate – Family-Owned Modern & Contemporary Furniture Retailer

As a Sales Associate, you will be an integral part of this legacy, helping customers find the perfect furniture pieces while contributing to a warm and welcoming shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and engage with them to understand their needs, offering personalized assistance to enhance their shopping experience.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of our modern and contemporary furniture collections, providing informative product demonstrations and expert recommendations.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system with accuracy and efficiency, handling transactions seamlessly. (Training will be provided)
- Employ upselling techniques to increase sales while maintaining a customer-first approach and ensuring satisfaction.
- Maintain a visually appealing and well-organized sales floor, ensuring that all products are displayed attractively and with attention to detail.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any concerns promptly, ensuring a positive and memorable experience.
- Work collaboratively with your team to meet store goals and help create a positive and supportive work environment.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills in English; fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese is a plus.
- Previous experience operating a POS system is an asset
- Proven ability to upsell products effectively while keeping the customer experience positive and solution-oriented.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine passion for sales and helping customers find the perfect furniture for their home.
- Ability to engage customers with product knowledge, effectively demonstrating the features and benefits of our modern and contemporary collections.
Compensation:
- Guaranteed minimum wage of $18/hour or 6% commission on sales (whichever is more).
Part-Time Hours:
We are seeking a part-time Sales Associate to work Saturdays only, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM to start. As the business grows and gets busier, there is potential to add more hours for the right candidate.
