Position: Accounts Receivable Assistant
Reports to: Manager, Accounting Operations
Length: 3.5-month Term, Full Time (February 17 to June 13, 2025)

Job Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Accounting Operations, the Accounts Receivable Assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day billing and collection support at CPABC. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are looking to gain experience in the accounting field while working for the CPA’s governing body!
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payments for member dues and public practice fees, etc;
- Follow up on outstanding dues/fees;
- Prepare invoices, credit notes and debit notes as required;
- Respond to all member enquires regarding payment of member dues and public practice fees;
- Prepare bank deposit for all CPABC related entities; and
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Finance team.
Key Requirements:
- Basic understanding of the Accounts Receivable function;
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both verbally and written;
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently with minimum supervision;
- Meticulous attention to detail, refined organizational and time management skills and the ability to handle high volume workloads; and
- Intermediate computer skills, with a particular focus on Microsoft Excel.
The starting hourly rate for this position is $21.50 – 25.00 per hour, based on candidates’ qualifications, experience, and internal parity. Exceptions may be considered with further review.
