About The Job
The role of an Accounts Receivable (AR) Accountant typically involves managing the inflow of funds into the company. The responsibilities include invoicing tenants, tracking rent payments, and ensuring that accounts are up to date. Additionally, AR specialists may assess and apply late fees for overdue payments, communicate with tenants regarding their accounts, and work to resolve any discrepancies. This role is crucial in maintaining a steady stream of rental income and enforcing financial policies to keep accounts in good standing.

You are an organized and competent professional with excellent communication skills. You are comfortable dealing with people and able to carry out administrative duties with accuracy, speed, privacy, and confidentiality. Your goal is to ensure the office operations are efficient and add maximum value to the Society.
You are a detail-oriented person who can prioritize and manage your time well and is committed to attending work regularly and on time. Your enthusiasm and eagerness to learn/grow are your most important attributes for the position. You may have a year or two of experience in a customer service or other office environment, and perhaps even some formal training in administration work. You are a feminist, passionate about the work of ending violence against women and children.

Additional Requisites/Assets
- Prior experience working in the Accounts Receivable function
- An education in accounting would be considered a strong asset.
- Prior experience with Yardi or Sage 300
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).

- Eligible to work in Canada.
