Job Description:
TD Life Group manages two categories of insurance products: authorized products, those that can be sold in TD Canada Trust retail branches under the Bank Act (Credit Protection and Travel Insurance); and unauthorized products, those that can only be sold outside of the branches through other channels, e.g. telephone, internet and mail campaigns (Life and Health Insurance).
Reporting to the Manager, 1A Governance & Control, this position will support the manager in exe cuting the team mandate . The successful candidate will support Life and Health Products, working with our control partners and internal partners, while acting as a specialist/expert in providing risk - based guidance/ advice in accordance with TDI's business goals and risk appetite.
The successful candidate will support the risk-based review of various strategic initiatives for TD Life and Health, support regulatory filings, and support the implementation of controls and risk remediation efforts, working with various partners in Legal, Compliance and Operations, as well as our distribution partners including Retail, Credit Card, Phone Channel, Online Channel on risk identification and mitigation. You will also take on ad-hoc risk and regulatory duties as required .
This role is best suited for an enthusiastic professional with a positive "can do" approach, who will proactively execute on the 1A risk and regulatory mandate.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, have a highly collaborative mind-set and be able to demonstrate superior organization and prioritization skills. The Risk Analyst Intern must also be able to demonstrate project management skills and be an expert in the MS Office software package.
