Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic Intern Analyst to join the
Global Corporate Communications team in CPP Investments’
Public Affairs and Communications (“PAC”) Department in the
Toronto Office.
Financial And Investment Communications
- Our financial communications activities demonstrate our public accountability through open and transparent disclosure, similar to that of a public company. We disclose financial results of the CPP Fund on a quarterly basis, within 45 days after the end of the three-month period, and report our fiscal year results, ending March 31, through a detailed Annual Report and other year-end activities targeted to key stakeholders.
- Our investment-related disclosure serves to further enhance CPP Investments’ reputation and show our commitment to transparency. We partner closely with investment teams across the organization to develop robust communications plans and disclosure materials.
Commitment To Canadians
- As part of our commitment to public accountability, CPP Investments uses our website and digital social channels to explain who we are, what we do and how we invest to stakeholders and to our 22 million contributors and beneficiaries.
Media Relations
- The media relations function focuses on building and deepening relationships with key media globally. The team assesses and manages hundreds of inbound media requests from all over the world annually. Working constructively with media, we pursue high-impact opportunities: instances where we believe participation could bolster CPP Investments’ brand, further business goals, or protect our reputation.
Responsibilities
- Participate in planning and execution of enterprise-wide communication programs, including support for external announcements and recurring events.
- Support Global Corporate Communications team by contributing to media briefing reports, communications plans, PowerPoint presentations, media monitoring and tracking coverage.
- Help update, track and organize media lists and other databases.
- Conduct, compile and analyze research to help support brand, marketing, and reputation management activities.
Support the planning and production of CPP Investments’ quarterly results reporting.

Qualifications
Who We’re Looking For
- Candidates in an undergraduate or post-grad program returning to school in the Fall of 2025 are eligible to apply
- Fluency in digital communication channels, social platforms and project management required
- Experience with Microsoft operating system applications required
- Excellent writing skills with demonstrable business literacy would be an asset
- Working towards a degree in Media, Communications, Marketing or associated field of study
- Knowledge of the investment management industry would be an asset
- Commands the ability to distill complex information into compelling, concise content and produce targeted materials for a variety of audiences
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and exhibit flexibility and adaptability to change
- Strict adherence to confidentiality and exhibiting a high level of professionalism at all times
- Strong attention to detail in both, writing and editing
- Results-oriented and the ability to manage multiple projects
- High-performing team player with a collaborative approach
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with senior team members
- Exemplifies the Guiding Principles of integrity, partnership and high performance
- French as a second language would be an asset
