Job Description
Reporting to the Manager of Patient Registration, the Registration Associate provides quality customer service for patients through the process of registration. This position is responsible for capturing and recording of accurate demographic and financial information and applying positive patient identification practices. The Patient Registration Associate is often the first contact for patients and will conduct their job duties with a focus on the patient and family. They will act from a customer service perspective in all interactions and work to support and collaborate with care providers.
Qualifications
- A related college diploma such as Medical Office Administration or equivalent required
- Medical Terminology required
- Previous hospital registration experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, and remain calm under stress
- Must possess effective communication and interpersonal skills to respond to the staff and public
- Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential
- Must be able to work cooperatively with others in a team environment
- Satisfactory attendance and performance record required
