What you'll be doing
You’ll be joining the Business Banking and Commercial Delivery team within CIBC's Canadian Banking Program Delivery team as a Director, Project Delivery – Commercial & Business Banking. You will be providing the vision to drive Project Delivery excellence by making project management and all delivery disciplines core competencies aligned to strategic priorities. With an innovative mindset, you will achieve delivery of business outcomes faster, lower cost of delivery, improve delivery predictability and only take on risks that we can manage.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How you’ll succeed

Provide Project Delivery Leadership – Provide delivery leadership and execution in executing the Canadian Banking strategy which will enable the achievement of business strategies and objectives. Build highly effective matrix teams and provide ongoing coaching and oversight. These include Business, Technology, Operations, Channel, Risk, Legal, and Compliance. Manage project risk and effectively communicate and drive decisions. Lead and facilitate initiative governance. Conduct strategic and tactical business planning and contribute to development of business cases and cost/benefit analysis.

Relationship Management – Establish and maintain stakeholder, sponsor and executive management relationships to effectively influence, facilitate decision making and develop risk mitigated strategies to ensure the successful delivery initiatives. Negotiate and influence business partners to ensure alignment across dependent initiatives. Secure LOB senior executive approval for recommended initiatives and develop implementation plans that will lead to the realization of strategic objectives.

Analytical Thinking – Establish and operate a business analysis and quality assurance practice supporting personal and Business Banking.

Subject Matter Expert – Provide domain practice guidance to Business Consultants, Analysts and Testers in alignment to CIBC’s delivery policies.
Who you are

You can demonstrate experience. In project delivery, planning and managing large complex projects end-to-end using agile methodology. Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project, PlanView, PRF, etc. Experience providing guidance, direction, and coaching of others. You have strong change management skills with the ability to gain consensus from multiple groups.
