What You’ll Be Doing
As a Consultant, Communications for Business Banking, you will be responsible for the implementation of communications initiatives supporting Business Banking sales and support teams. You will manage the internal communication channels targeting this audience, including intranet, news messages on Workplace, executive communications via posts and emails, and weekly newsletters. You will also support in developing the content for the internal channels. You will liaise with the Frontline effectiveness and product teams in order to reach the broader business banking frontline audience. You'll work along with other BUs/LOBs, such as Alternate Solution Group/Commercial, to communicate any updates to their offers, policies, and products internally.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How You’ll Succeed

Consulting - Provide advice and counsel to team members and internal clients to help ensure that communications are developed and deployed in a timely and effective manner. Advise on such things as appropriate message, communication channels, target audience, timing, distribution, etc. Support the development and implementation of an overall employee communications strategy.

Communication Development – Develop and execute effective communication plans and determine the most effective means for communicating to employees. Participate in the development and execution of an annual communication plan and calendar. Write, edit, proof, and manage the execution of specific internal communication deliverables.

Business Reporting – You thrive on making things simple. You pay attention to details, and you are able to synthesize business results into visuals and commentary that can be understood across various stakeholders, from frontline team members to executives.

Relationship Management - Collaborate with peers and senior leaders when identifying, discussing and resolving business and communications needs.
Who You Are

You can demonstrate experience in writing, editing and consulting, and acting as communications work package lead for change projects. A minimum of 5-7 years of professional communication experience is required. You have a strong attention to detail. You exhibit superior proofreading skills while managing multiple competing priorities. You notice things that others don't. Your critical thinking skills helps your decision making.

You have a degree/diploma in Communications or equivalent professional experience.
