What You’ll Be Doing
When you join our Career Programs as a Summer Associate in the Technology Leadership Advancement Program (TLAP), you’ll join a team that continues to push CIBC as the market leader in innovative technology to make our clients’ ambitions a reality. The TLAP Summer Associate Role offers you an opportunity to pursue a 4-month internship with significant flexibility to create your own experience that aligns with your personal and professional development goals.
Your summer internship will be within the technology streams of the bank. This includes technology teams that align with business units like capital markets, wealth management, personal and business banking; teams that are responsible for our enterprise-wide tech functions like enterprise architecture, corporate center technology, Agile, and DevOps Centre of Excellence; teams that keep the lights on like Tech Ops, Payments, and numerous other teams. Based on your interest and business team demands, TLAP Summer Associates will take on roles like Business Systems Analyst, Product Development, ScrumMaster, IT Project Manager, Solution Designer, etc.
You will also have access to your Internship Manager, Program Manager and Peer Mentor to advance your professional development by receiving tailored career guidance. You will be part of a vibrant community of talented professionals who are pursuing their rotations and will be part of your network as you commence your internship at CIBC. The various internal TLAP committees will provide you with an opportunity to pursue your interests and passion projects while simultaneously contributing to the development of the TLAP community.
Important Information
- You are a student, currently enrolled in a Master’s/MBA Program with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and July 2026.
- You have a minimum of 3 years’ of work experience in any technical domain(must have).

- Work Location: Toronto. Please note all employees must work within their current jurisdiction and must reside within Canada. All CIBC Internship positions require you to be based in Canada for the duration of the term. - Duration of Internship: 4-month Summer Internship from May 5th, 2025 to August 22nd, 2025.
