WSP is seeking skilled Project Managers to join our Buildings team in Toronto. To thrive in this environment, you are most likely a trained architect or engineer, have at least 3-5 years’ experience in onsite building construction or multi-discipline design project management, and are at ease in a leadership role. The projects that we take on are in multiple communities and municipalities throughout the GTA and travel to projects, attending in-person client and site meetings will be a requirement for the successful proponent.

Be the onsite WSP representative Client and Contractor facing to resolve client or construction issues as they arise and required.
Take ownership of the project delivery throughout all phases;
Be the key point of contact with the Client or on behalf of the Client on all technical and administrative matters;
Liaise with project stakeholders and other relevant governing agencies;
Prepare proposals, project cost estimates and schedules for construction and design projects
Manage the project budget, schedule, internal and external stakeholders, and quality;
Coordinate the work of Contractors, designers, and other suppliers, both internal and external;
Review contracts, design drawings and specifications for completeness, constructability, and alignment with project requirements;
Resolve project issues through the identification of risk and implementation of mitigation measures;
Perform all other tasks that will help accomplish the successful delivery of the project; and,
Contribute to knowledge transfer by providing functional guidance, peer review and mentoring.
Undergraduate Degree or Technologist Certificate in engineering or architecture, or equivalent;
Minimum 3 years relevant project management experience in construction, multi-discipline design or a related real estate/facilities field;
Site experience is an asset
Strategic, conceptual analytical thinking and decision-making skills;
Strong interpersonal skills and an enthusiastic team player;
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Other designations conferred by Industry associations (PMP or others) are considered assets; and,
You must be flexible and have the ability to work on several projects of varied complexity with minimal supervision in collaboration with multiple supporting elements of the organization.
