Common Data Store within TD Securities Technology Solutions is a data warehouse. This Operational Data Store normalizes and consolidates data from many Book Of Record and external rating systems. CDS provides this normalized data in custom dimensions and flat file extracts to downstream clients ranging in the areas of Risk Management, TDS Capital Management and TD-EETS.

Job Description
Works independently as the senior business analyst and coaches/ guides members within area of expertise
Subject matter expert and consults with clients and/or project teams
Involved in all aspects of the business analysis process and may provide guidance and direction to other Business Analysts
Acts as a key resource for the project team and the business, assuming lead Business Analyst role within projects
Leads the development of detailed/ complex and/or comprehensive project plans and/or large projects
Leads resolution of client data issues
Develop effective and efficient solutions by researching/analyzing issues, defining opportunities for business process improvements and making recommendations within assigned area of responsibility
Define, document and translate high level business requirements into detailed function specifications as outlined by IT Managers and/or clients
Participating in the scoping and estimating of proposed projects
Develop in development of test scripts ensuring adherence to agreed upon business requirements and participate in the testing of developed systems/solutions
Will prepare build/cost analyses
Will work with end users and other Business Stakeholders to analyze, develop and recommend solutions to problems
Comply with the system development life cycle (SDLC) and project management methodology (PMLC) - including development of project plans, documentation of system requirements, estimates of scope and cost, etc.
Develop and maintain documentation such as system designs and process flow diagrams.
Assume an “ownership” role, on behalf of the client (per Bank guidelines) to ensure deliverables meet business and end-user requirements
Deliver effective and efficient solutions by prioritizing tasks and ensuring project deliverables, including own deliverables, are implemented within time, budget and quality parameters
Conduct implementation and post implementation activities and may ensure project deliverables are communicated and user / support areas are trained
Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise of business analysis principles and apply learning to business solutions
Will perform testing according to test plans, monitor and report on results, and work with others on problem resolution
Work with IT management and the client to ensure effective communication, integration of project issues and deliverables, and clear articulation of business requirements
Ensure timely notification and escalation of possible issues/problems, options and recommendations for prompt resolution
Act as a resource in business analysis and design to colleagues, business partners and clients and encourage business analysis awareness
Work effectively as a team, supporting other members of the team in achieving project/business objectives and providing client services
Support a work environment that promotes client service, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest
Participate fully as a member of the team and contribute to a positive work environment

Education and Accreditation
Post secondary degree/diploma in Information Technology Systems or Business discipline
5-7 years relevant experience.
Expert knowledge of business analysis principles and project lifecycles
Sound to advanced knowledge of technical environment and applications supported
Advanced knowledge of tools (e.g., MS Office, MS Access) within own area
Excellent presentation & written/verbal communication skills.
Motivated and responsible team player, able to perform in dynamic, fast paced environment
Experience with equity trading systems is considered an asset
Ability to meet tight deadlines.
Systems testing experience, including system release/regression testing would also be a great asset.
Attention to detail and accuracy is crucial
Ability to multi-task in a challenging environment.
