We are currently looking for a qualified Sales Representative specialized in mental health for Toronto territory. This is a permanent full-time job.
The Mental Health Specialist is part of a regional team that is highly effective, motivated, innovative and enthusiastic to achieve sales objectives for Lundbeck Canada. The Mental Health Specialist reports to a Regional Business Manager, Psychiatry.
The safety of our patients: You are expected to immediately forward any reports of adverse events or special situations on our products as well as any product complaints and counterfeit or suspected counterfeit medicine to Medical Information and Pharmacovigilance (canadamedicalinformation@lundbeck.com) as per training on current procedures.
Achievement of Sales objectives (50%)
- Achieve territory sales objectives for Lundbeck promoted products in Psychiatry.
- Implement territory plan of action, including field call activities as established by the sales and marketing teams for each defined cycle.
- Fully understand and promote Lundbeck psychiatry and partnered products and services to hospitals, clinics, and healthcare providers, using sales cycle promotional material in an efficient, professional and compliant manner.
- Build and maintain relations with clients (doctors, nurses, and business partners); identify their needs; inform them about Lundbeck’s high-quality products.
- Stay abreast of competing products and scientific developments for psychiatry products.
Business Planning (25%)
- In accordance with the sales function plan and the Regional Business Manager, develop and revisit regularly a territory business plan and implement key tactics to maximize selling efforts, optimize growth opportunities and achieve sales.
- Leverage different communication channels to have most efficient access to HCP (face to face and virtual).
- Manage field budget adequately to optimize reach and targeted customer interaction.
- Execute tailored call preparation and call review process in alignment with the Lundbeck selling model in order to move customers along the adoption ladder.
- Use the sales and performance report system (KPIs) to optimize performance across the territory.
- Continuously gather insights in territory through interactions with customers and adapt tactics accordingly.
- Collaborate with sales team members and other departments -including marketing, training, business effectiveness and medical teams- to offer tailored solutions and maximize psychiatry product(s) potential and sales; be an active contributor to help improve and optimize national and regional business activities.
- Attend company meetings and main industry conventions
Medical Communication and Education Activities (20%)
- Effectively implement needs-based, certified programs (CHEs) and other learning activities (OLAs) as per cycle plan of action and follow-up to optimize impact.
- Work closely with the Medical Science Liaison and Medical Education teams to identify educational opportunities and develop advocacy in territory.
- Ensure compliance and respect for ethical rules in all learning activities implemented with customers.
Administration and Corporate Compliance (5%)
- Update and maintain the key customer target list.
- Use the CRM (Customer Relations Management System) to ensure that field activities are captured and documented.
- Use of the company’s expense reporting system in a timely manner.
- Comply with Lundbeck Canada processes and satisfy business needs in a cost efficient and timely manner.
- Always stay updated on and abide by Lundbeck Canada's legal and compliance procedures.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences or business administration
- A minimum of 2 year of sales experience, ideally in the Canadian pharmaceutical industry
- Experience in the CNS field and/or working with psychiatrists an asset
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills
- Familiar with the use of technology (ie: iPad, apps, etc.) including proficiency with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, etc.); experience with the use of technologies to access HCP an asset
