What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Director of Projects & Initiatives, this is a 12 month contract position that will support data quality and data remediation projects as we prepare our application for a future migration. On a daily basis you will execute a series of tasks through several applications or analyzing data through reports in order to complete multiple data remediation initiatives. These initiatives are essential for ensuring that our data is accurate, complete, and ready for seamless migration to the new platform.
The Analyst, Data Specialist, will be responsible for learning client lifecycle management processes and familiarizing themselves with AML/KYC data. You will identify data issues, propose solutions, and complete projects on a monthly or quarterly basis, while collaborating with peer associates and other analysts within the team. The job requires setting priorities, and ensuring that all stakeholder’s are kept informed of progress.
Regular reporting and updates to Team Lead and Director will be a key component of this role. The Analyst will highlight any potential risks or issues, and propose solutions to keep the project on track. By maintaining clear communication and engaging in a collaborative environment, the Analyst will ensure that all project deadlines are met.

How You’ll Succeed
- Detail Oriented and Analytical: Required to execute a variety of lightly to moderately complex processes whose primary objective is to ensure that our client data is accurate and fulsome in order to meet all mandatory data requirements. You will analyze data for certain entities and ensure information has been appropriately captured while verifying the information across various platforms. You will need to ensure our due diligence and governance practices have been followed before updating various systems. You will need to have a good understanding of client data by reviewing the information presented, and determine course of action to remediate client information.
- Collaboration and Communication: You must have a curious mindset and ask questions if the data presented requires further clarification. Must be able to work closely with your team and other teams to deliver assigned deliverables flawlessly and as per agreed-upon timeline in order to provide exceptional service for our internal and external stakeholders. This will require attention to detail as you encounter different scenarios that require you to collaborate with your teammates in order to achieve the desired outcome. You have strong communication skills to provide prompt responses and updates to relevant teams and stakeholders in order to meet all deliverable timelines.
- Learning and Development: As part of a team executing various processes on a daily basis, you will gain knowledge on your own by reading relevant policies, standards and procedures. Consistent learning from your manager and team members to obtain the process knowledge to execute all projects and be truly flexible in the variety of tasks you are assigned. Learn when to escalate to develop your own problem-solving and time-management skills. Take initiative and act resourceful during data investigation and research activities.
Who You Are
- You have relevant experience. You have 1-2 years of working experience with a good understanding of data analysis and project management. Experience working with Client Lifecycle Management applications such as Fenergo will be a strong asset.
- You have business knowledge. Understanding of financial products, client data applications, and working knowledge of AML procedures will be an asset.
- You have a strong analytical background. An education in finance, mathematics, science or business, that showcases proven foundation to work with data analysis.
- You give meaning to data. Excellent reporting skills using MS Office or other data visualization tools, e.g., Tableau, Alteryx, and Power BI, to produce relevant analysis, reports, and display data.
- You are detail oriented. Must be vigilant in delivering results, have strong attention to detail, good planning skills and the ability to overcome obstacles. Maintain a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize multiple deliverables.
- You act like an owner. Ability to directly address conflicts and escalate issues, where appropriate. Highly organized and strong results orientation that includes adherence to deadlines while maintaining high-quality results/output. Strong sense of accountability and ownership over all assignments and activities.
- You are a team player. Ability to connect successfully with your team members and influence different groups and individuals to deliver high-quality and timely deliverables.
- You have strong writing and communication skills. Ability to present to an audience and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. Ability to write well-structured and well-formatted procedures and job aids in English using clear, plain and simple language.
