What You’ll Be Doing
The Business Effectiveness team within the Chief Administrative Office supports the Canadian Banking portfolio which includes Personal & Business Banking (PBB) and Canadian Commercial Banking and Wealth Management (Cdn CBWM). Our mandate is to support the various LOBs within Canadian Banking across all business functions including: Privacy Resolution, Records Management, Third Party Arrangements, Business Continuity Management, Business Managed Technology, CMTT/BMTT tracking/monitoring along with other business management functions.

How You’ll Succeed

Team Leadership - Providing direction and coaching to influence employee commitment to the organization, team, and core responsibilities. Ongoing leadership and centralized guidance for consistent delivery of Privacy and Records Management policies across PBB and CBWM.

Operational Excellence - Cultivate a culture of excellence within the Records and Privacy team, introducing best practices and simplification of processes to drive operational excellence. Providing authoritative analysis, interpretation, and opinion to support and guide senior and executive management reporting, ensuring an awareness, understanding and acceptance of issues.

Providing Oversight – Oversee the execution of processes to ensure they are operating effectively as well as identifying continuous improvement opportunities to simplify and increase efficiencies within programs and processes. Ongoing analysis of regulatory changes and trends related to Records Management and Privacy.

Collaboration - Collaborating with CIBC’s Privacy Office, Client Care and EDRMO to establish a clear operating model and ensure processes and procedures address evolving regulatory requirements. Work with Governance and Control Partners to collectively manage the overall Canadian Banking risk profile and control framework as it relates to Records and Privacy deficiencies.

Risk Mitigation - Identify key areas of focus that need to be included and raised to executives for awareness through risk reporting which will facilitate business decisions to take corrective action in order to mitigate identified risks.
