What is the Opportunity?
The RBC Dominion Securities Inc. (“RBC DS”) Branch located in mid-town Toronto is looking for an Associate to join the Ascendant Wealth Partners team. You will provide quality service and help deepen relationships with existing clients through ongoing, efficient support to the Investment Advisors and their staff.
What will you do?
- Coordinate and prepare meeting materials for Investment Advisors with their clients/prospects
- Provide proactive service to Investment Advisors with a focus on problem resolution and attention to details. Liaise with various departments for execution, where necessary
- Help support Investment Advisors responding to client inquiries (account transactions, requests, account documentation, account reporting, etc.)
- Assist with client onboarding, portfolio monitoring and trading
- Help manage incoming communications from clients, Investment Advisors, and other internal and external partners
- Ensure accurate and timely updates of all necessary documentation and materials in compliance with internal controls and industry regulatory requirements
- Help update the team’s communication channels: websites, LinkedIn, brochures, newsletters
- Provide support to Associate Advisors and Associate Portfolio Managers
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
- Undergraduate Business Degree
- Good understanding of fundamental accounting and finance concepts
- Keen interest in capital markets and investing
- Exceptional Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Good written and oral communication
- Demonstrated skills in providing service that will come across as professional, warm and friendly
- Plans to obtain CFA or CIM designation
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities’ systems and procedures
