This Associate level
Document Control Specialist is a vital member of our engineering team, responsible for managing and coordinating document submissions for new commercial nuclear reactor projects. This role ensures compliance with project deliverables, quality standards, and documentation processes while supporting internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Document Management:
- Manage and track documentation submissions from customers, suppliers, and internal partners per project deliverable requirements.
- Transmit documents to relevant parties while adhering to internal guidelines.
- Create, upload, and manage records in the product lifecycle management tool.
Compliance And Quality Assurance
- Review submissions for completeness and compliance with procurement contracts and project requirements.
- Verify proper review and approval of all documents within the scheduled timeframe.
- Ensure adherence to document management procedures, including the use of proper structures and templates.
Reporting And Communication
- Prepare and issue reports on submittal and approval status.
- Provide timely communication on significant issues or developments.
- Act as a first-line support for users facing issues during the documentation process.
Supplier Coordination
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure adherence to submittal deadlines.
- Report and resolve non-conformances promptly.
Process Improvement And Collaboration
- Support company initiatives like LEAN, continuous improvement, and digitalization.
- Work with subject matter experts to create and implement documentation.
- Investigate platform needs and recommend development programs and maintenance.
Team Support
- Mentor and train team members as needed.
- Collaborate on initiatives to ensure conformance to quality assurance programs, standards, and practices.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple document submissions and deadlines.
- Proficiency in using product lifecycle management tools for record management.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
- Knowledge of document control processes and standards within engineering or nuclear project environments.
- Experience in quality assurance programs and continuous improvement initiatives is an asset.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $30.05/hour - $46.95/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
