Reporting to the Field Manager, Ontario Canada, the Field Technician, will be responsible for the conducting field inspections in various regions with a goal of achieving best in class customer service and quality. Duties will include directing the coordination of field-based inspections and technician requirements.
What You'll Do Here
- Responsible for regularly conducting field inspections within the timelines provided by the Field Manager; ensuring the quality and safety of work completed is as expected.
- Ensure that the equipment being used in the field is maintained and calibrated.
- Completing, documenting, and uploading survey records based on field conditions.
- Responsible for implementing and monitoring of the company’s safety policy for the designated region.
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients and subcontractors.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Minimum 1 year of experience conducting GPS and/or Total Station surveying.
- Maintain a valid provincial driver’s license with the ability to provide a driver’s abstract quarterly.
- Must be willing to travel across Ontario for field inspections.
- Knowledge of survey practices and standards is considered a strong asset.
- Familiarity of working with an IKE GPS would be considered an asset.
- Installation and repair experience and knowledge in Hydro and Telecommunications work is considered an asset.
- Works effectively in a team environment (subcontractors, tech’s, office staff, management, other), under pressure.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills, functional with key MS Office software
- Willing to work flexible hours and schedule (on-call, occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays)
