Position Overview
As an Assistant Buyer at Rennaï, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our buying team to procure and curate the finest selection of beauty and self-care products that embody our brand's commitment to luxury and quality. You will work closely with the Buyers and collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure our product offerings exceed customer expectations.

Responsabilities
Product Selection:
- Collaborate with the Buying Manager to identify and select new beauty and self-care products to add to our portfolio, keeping our luxury brand image in mind.
Vendor Relations
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Manage vendor negotiations for testers/damages, RTV’s, markdowns chargeback, collection of RA#’s, collecting digital assets for PDP set up, price adjustment management, samples, and gratis collection.
Market Research
- Stay current with industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences to make informed decisions on product selections, comp shopping.
Inventory Management
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to ensure product availability and reduce overstock or stockouts.
- Support the Buyers and assist in AR orders, processing of manual purchase orders.
Order Management
- Coordinate and track orders, shipments, and deliveries, ensuring products arrive on time and in good condition.
- Reconcile discrepancies with order receipts and invoices.
- Work with Buyer to determine discounts for late orders, track orders that are slated for eventing/marketing.
- Complete thorough analysis, propose AR orders for replenishment.
Quality Control
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure product quality and compliance with established standards and negotiate RTV/DIF with vendors.
Data Analysis
- Utilize data and analytics to assess product performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive data driven decisions.
- Utilize Circana reporting to measure business vs market.
- Generate weekly/monthly/quarterly sales recap reports.
Support Buyers And Cross Functional Teams
- Assist the Buying Manager in day-to-day tasks, such as preparing reports and presentations.
- Support with product info for stores and product strategy presentations.
- Support store events coordination (Trunk shows, PA’s, etc.)
THE FIRST 90 DAYS
- Assortment/Sku set up and vendor set up
- Order writing and processing
- Order tracking
Skills And Experience You Will Need
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field.
- Proven experience in a retail buying or in a similar role (2+ years), preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Solid analytical and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Proficient in Excel (advanced formulas and pivot tables)
BONUS IF YOU HAVE
- A passion for beauty and self-care products.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and product management software.
- Experience in building relationships and in cosmetics buying.
- Knowledge of Cosmetics industry, Knowledge in Health Canada regulation and compliancy.
- Ability to prioritize, self-starter.
- French speaking and writing skills (an asset).
