About The Role
As a Training Content Developer at Clutch, you will play a critical role in designing and developing educational materials that support the growth and performance of team members within a dynamic, production-focused startup environment. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including Production, Field Operations, and Logistics, you will create impactful training programs that are tailored to Clutch's fast-paced and evolving needs. Your content will align with lean manufacturing principles and help drive operational efficiency.
You will be responsible for building engaging training programs and materials, including e-learning modules, manuals, videos, and other resources, to enhance employee skills and ensure quality across the organization. Additionally, you will manage the full lifecycle of training programs, from initial concept to delivery, and continuously iterate based on feedback.
Key Responsibilities
Content Design & Development:
- Develop interactive training materials (e-learning modules, videos, manuals, guides, etc.) to support Clutch’s fast-paced production and operational goals.
- Design comprehensive curricula for training programs, including learning objectives, instructional materials, and assessments.
- Create training content that integrates lean manufacturing principles and supports employees in a production environment.
- Tailor content for different delivery methods, such as in-person, virtual, and self-paced learning.
Instructional Design & Collaboration:
- Apply instructional design principles and adult learning theories to create effective and engaging training materials that drive employee development and productivity.
- Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) from various departments, including Production and Logistics, to gather insights and ensure content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with company objectives.
- Design assessments, quizzes, and other tools to measure the effectiveness of training programs and employee comprehension.
Program Management & Continuous Improvement:
- Manage end-to-end development of training programs, from content creation to deployment and review.
- Regularly review and update training content to ensure it stays relevant, current, and effective in supporting Clutch's growth and lean manufacturing processes.
- Incorporate feedback from employees, trainers, and key stakeholders to enhance training programs and maintain high-quality learning experiences.
Learning Management System (LMS) Oversight:
- Upload and manage training materials within the LMS to ensure easy access for employees.
- Track learner progress and training outcomes, providing insights into the success of programs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to LMS content delivery.
We’re Looking For Someone Who
- Thrives in a fast-paced, production-oriented startup environment: You’re comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously while supporting the company's rapid growth and changing priorities.
- Has a passion for instructional design: You have experience creating engaging training materials and content for different learning modalities, including face-to-face, virtual, and e-learning platforms.
- Is experienced in lean manufacturing or production environments: You understand the importance of efficiency, continuous improvement, and how to apply lean principles to training design.
- Is a strong project manager: You’re able to manage the end-to-end development of training programs, ensuring that deadlines are met, and content is delivered on time.
- Can work onsite: While Clutch values flexibility, this role requires a strong onsite presence to support production teams and operations.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience developing training materials and instructional content.
- Proficiency with e-learning development tools and content authoring software.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and managing training content in an LMS.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to translate complex information into easily understandable content.
- Experience working in or supporting production, manufacturing, or logistics environments is a plus.
- Program or project management experience in a startup or fast-paced company.
