In 1949 they acquired the four-year-old Vancouver branch of an American-based company. From this modest beginning, the Company now has a Head Office in Burnaby, Eighteen Branches, and Four Distribution Centers spread across Western Canada. The Opportunity:
Scope of the position
The purpose of this role is to ensure that warranty claims are processed, submitted and paid on a timely basis including inventory control administration.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Process and authorize warranty claims.
- Verify the supplier’s criteria (e.g. amount covered, coverage time frame, etc).
- Complete document required to process the claims, forward them to the supplier.
- Follow up on claims to obtain prompt payment.
- Complete pre-authorization applications in contentious cases, forward them to supplier & follows up.
- Analyze denied warranty claims by the supplier and if applicable, re-submit them.
- Ensure that customers are invoiced for uncovered and unauthorized claims.
- Keep up-to-date on all supplier recalls and bulletins.
- Update Warranty manuals and upload to SharePoint/Intranet.
- Provide information to Branch staffs, manufacturers and the general public.
- Work closely with the sales and accounting on claim issues.
- Assist with Inventory control.
Skills and Qualifications
- 1 – 2 years’ experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and contribute to the team goals.
- Be able to meet deadlines.
- Working knowledge of warranty policies and procedures is an asset.
- Inventory management experience is helpful.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good customer relations skills.
- Strong verbal and written communications.
- Possesses Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience with computers and relevant software.
What we offer:
The target salary range for this position is $48,000 to 52,000 CAD. The pay range for this position is a general guideline only. The salary will depend on internal pay equity and the candidate's relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and job market data.
